Get Out! Escape Rooms is a unique venue for fun, challenges and bonding. Our escape rooms are designed for all types of players: young, old, creative thinkers, competitive, inquisitive and co operative team players. Will I actually be locked inside of a room?
You will not be actually locked in and unable to walk out, in an emergency you can exit through the door you entered. Some people are worried they may feel claustrophobic, don't worry the rooms are regular sized rooms.
Are the rooms suitable for children?
There are a variety of challenges in all rooms to suit a variety of ages and interests. Recommended age to participate is from about 10 years old, however if your child is younger and has enjoyed a room previously, you are welcome to have them as a member of your team. Players under 15 years must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Will I be in a room with people I don’t know?
No, you will be in a room with the people you arrive with, you make your own teams. Unless you are booked into our UFC night - Unknown Friends Club, where you book in yourself and will be placed in a room with others who book in. A great way to meet new people!
What happens if we don't Get Out in time?
If the room is not booked directly following your session, our staff may give you a sneaky bit of extra time if you are close to success!!
How many people should I have in my team?
The ideal team would be have between 4-6 players. However our Eat 'n' Run room can accommodate more if needed!
What happens if we get stuck and can't work out any clues?
Don't worry, we are there to help make your experience enjoyable! Staff can help at any point if you are stuck - you will be able to ask for help via walkie talkie. You can request clues - but be warned - this will cost you time penalties!
How do I find Get Out! Escape Rooms?
We are located first floor of the Burns building, on the main street of Te Awamutu Town (opposite Heathcotes Appliances, entrance next door to Cafe Anatolia). Street side parking is usually available.
Do I need any special equipment or clothing?
Everything you need to play is in the rooms. Comfortable clothing and 'sensible' shoes are all you need. No rooms require physical exertion or special skills.
Can I take part in a wheelchair?
Yes you can. If you need assistance getting up the stairs to enter please just let us know, our staff will happily help you out. Once upstairs, areas are accessible to wheelchairs, including bathroom facilities.
